THE RIGHT SHOCK TABLE

Undoubtedly, a parent sees that there is a multiplication table on the laptop. Apparently my laptops had a multiplication table of my whole life. What is the problem? Why is a traditional table printed on laptops bad? And the problem is that the laptop doesn't have a multiplication table.

The multiplication table looks like this (Figure 1). Sometimes the same table is called "Pythagoras table".

No child in their mind will consider examples written in columns. No child, however bright, can find interesting patterns in written examples. In general, when the teacher says "Learn the multiplication table" and the child does not even see the table in front, he immediately understands that mathematics is a science that you need to learn a lot, but it is impossible to understand anything. And in general, it should be done "as it is said" rather than "as it makes sense".


What is the table better?

First, there is no litter and information noise in the form of the left side of the samples. Second, you can think. Thirdly, if he is constantly at hand and the child stumbles on it, he reluctantly begins to memorize these numbers. In particular, 55 will never answer the "family of eight" question - after all, the number 55 is not in the table, and it never existed.

Only children with abnormal memory can memorize sample columns. The table needs to be remembered less. In addition, the child automatically looks for patterns. And he finds them on his own. Such patterns are found even by children who still do not know how to reproduce.

For example: symmetric numbers are diagonally equal (Figure 2). The brain is simply determined to look for symmetry and is very happy if it finds and realizes. The child notices this. And the fact that a man invented himself will remember forever, contrary to what he memorized or said.

And then the child realizes that you can not learn the whole table, but only half. If we already know the multiplication line with 3, we don't have to memorize "eight to three", rather, "eight to three" remember. Already half of the work. It is also very important that the brain does not accept dry information in the form of some incomprehensible sample columns, but it is important to think, analyze and train.

In addition, you can see such a wonderful fact: if you tamper with any number and draw a rectangle to that number from the beginning of the table, the number of cells in the rectangle is your number (Figures 3 and 4).
And here the multiplication takes a deeper meaning than an abbreviated record of several identical terms. There is a feeling for geometry - the area of ​​a rectangle is equal to the product of its sides.

And you can not imagine how easy it is to share with such a table!

Print the right multiplication table for your child. Hang it on the wall to look at it while doing homework or sitting at the table. Also print and laminate a small one or draw on cardboard. Let him drag him to school with him and just keep it at hand. It doesn't hurt to highlight cross squares in such a table for better visibility. In addition, your child will be easier in the future. He will realize that it is necessary to move the brain, not annoyance. And he will not only understand, but will also learn to do.

In the examples, there is nothing wrong with the columns (Figure 5). And the amount of information they contain is the same as in the table. However, there is nothing good in these examples. This is information trash, where you won't find what you need right away.
